Thoughts on Angela's Ashes

from what I've read in the book i like it so far, its about a boy struggling through the hardship of growing up in his Irish homeland while going through the Depression and the Prohibition. Frankie grows up poor and with many other siblings. i think it will be a good read and make me laugh and cry. i really don't know much about the author but after i read this book of his, i think i will be more interested in his work.
i usually don't read this type of book but I've branched out more within the last year and started to read more types of novels like this one. i usually go for the more fiction mystery/twilight-like books along with religion books on wicca. but i chose this book Angela's Ashes becuse like i mention before i decided to branch out on the types of books i read and find new types that i like and this seemed like a book that i might be interested in. good books that i have read would be "tweak", the "House of Night" series and "glass" and "crank" ,
